TRON: Uprising – TV Trailer

tronuprising4162012

Tron: Legacy was a bit meh… it was pretty, but somewhere the story seemed to lose itself along the way. Then again, its pretty hard to follow up a concept film from the early 80′s which already had very little coherent plot to start with. This new animated series however, looks to be a lot of cool action and fun! Also Bruce Boxleitner sounds like he has a lot more to do and its actually about TRON.  There’s a concept…. clever kids over at Disney… telling a story about the titular character. Have a look!

SYNOPSIS: Beck is a young program who becomes the skillful leader of a revolution inside the computer world of The Grid. His mission is to free his home and friends from the reign of the villainous Clu 2 and his henchman General Tesler. Beck will be trained by Tron – the greatest warrior the Grid has ever come to know. Tron will not only teach Beck the fighting and light cycle skills he needs to challenge this brutal military occupation, but he will be a guide and mentor to him as he grows beyond his youthful, impulsive nature into a courageous, powerful, strong leader. Destined to become the next Tron of the system, Beck adopts Tron’s persona and becomes the archenemy of General Tesler and his oppressive forces.

The series stars the voices of Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Nate Corddry, Lance Henriksen, Paul ReubensReginald VelJohnson and the original Tron, Bruce Boxleitner.
