Dr Who – Series 31 trailers

We love us some Doctor Who, we really do!  Well, some of us love it more than others… but I think I can safely say we all can see the unlimited potential the show has. For 31 seasons now (and 48 years) The Doctor has lead us a merry dance through time and space in his blue police box.  Over the decades he’s faced countless horrors including; Daleks, Cybermen, shoddy sets and terrible writing, not to mention his most dangerous opponent, the occasionally daft BBC!

For five years now though, he has been in pretty safe territory, going from strength to strength on his journeys around the Cardiff area thanks to BBC Wales, until now… The Tardis has been set adrift by its re-imagined production team, and one of the most popular doctors of all time has gone off to be famous elsewhere. We, the fans are drifting rudderless in an dark and angry time vortex!

Ok, i’m being melodramatic… I don’t honestly think we’re in any danger at all. We’re in safer hands than we have been in years and I have no doubt that the new series will be as quirky, wonderful (and possibly shoddy) as everything that has gone before it. But to whet your whistles, here are two trailers from the BBC and BBC America to buoy your frightened fan-soul.

Okay….why is it every time I see this version of The Doctor I ask, “What is Crispin Glover doing in the TARDIS?”
