ALICE – TV Trailer
Let’s be blunt here, Tin Man was not exactly the sort of TV special that sets my world on fire. In fact it kinda sucked. It had some interesting concepts but overall it felt like a bollocksing on a grand scale. Now the folks who brought us that little effort have decided that the land on the other side of the looking glass needs to be fucked with as well. Joy.
Instead of a vaguely steampunkish Oz, this time around the SyFy network has taken its ugly stick to Lewis Carrol’s Wonderland and some of the reviews floating in from the trades are not exactly favourable. But its entirely up to y’all to make your own decision isn’t it? thats why you come to movie review sites? Isn’t it?
I would really love to see one of these re-imaginings have the balls to really go full horror, or full Sci-fi, or even just no holds barred dark fantasy. As it is we get these poorly budgeted colourless telemovies which use bottom of the barrel effects to try and cover for a terminal lack of imagination!

So, have you seen ALICE? Does it suck you in down the rabbit hole? or is it just Tweedle DUM and tweedle DUMMEST? I do like the March Hare though… creepy dude in a mask… kinda cool.

Why does it look like much of it is shot in the set of Ugly Betty? [White everything, new age blood orange furniture that noone sits on.. etc...]. I wish people would realise that Alice in Wonderland is a REALLY fucked up story, and either treat it as such or don't touch it!
exactly, i'd like to see them really take some risks with these shows…. if you're going to modernise the story make it body horror, or really hard sci fi! these sterile, as you put it "Ugly betty" sets are just BORING!
there are a couple of images i liked, the shrinking room for example, nice re-thinking of the whole growing too big for the house imagery… but really? Kathy bates?
I Played American McGee's alice and I think this will be much worse than that. Wven if you are just going in terms of style the upcoming Burton Alice would be better than this.
I loved American McGee's Alice. I wished the film actually got finished. Over all the story is now so boring that I don't think I could be arse watching any of them (except McGee).
