Star Wars Lego Bombad Bounty – Fan Film

Star Wars Lego Bombad Bounty – Fan Film

Star wars fan films are a dime a dozen these days, but GOOD fan films are not really that common. TROOPS became I.M.P.S. then floundered, losing it’s way and the amount of Lightsaber duels we’ve been subjected to in recent years is positively obscene. Occasionally a bright shining star appears and is worthy of great praise and Bombad Bounty is one of these. Based in the Lego Star Wars Universe, Bombad Bounty is a positively hilarious retelling of the entire Star Wars Original Trilogy taken from a different perspective, that of Boba Fett and his hunt for the most hated creature in the universe.

Jar Jar has been a target of much fan hate and has been the punchline of some great fan films, not the least of which being The Solo Adventures, which was a favourite at Celebration V this year.

But this Lego adventure (approved by Lego themselves) takes the spirit of the Star Wars universe, combines the humor of the Lego games and comes up with something pretty damn special indeed!

While technically not being a “fan” film, it is a lot of fun and worth five minutes of your time.

The film was made by the Danish advertising firm M2FILM, and is the latest in their series of shorts for LEGO toys. Does it explain more to you about the Star Wars back-story or is it a shameless attempt to move more mini-figs?  Feedback and let us know!
