Transformers: War for Cybertron – Gameplay Reveal Trailer
It wasn’t too long ago we showed y’all the first fully rendered trailer for this utterly cool looking game and even at the time I think we said; “We want to see some game-play.” Now we have seen the game play and I think i can safely say we’re impressed! Taking elements from the original 1980′s cartoon and stealing the best bits of the Michael Bay style Transformers then infusing them both with a fairly liberal dose of “cool game stuff” looks to have given us something a bit special! It’s also given us a part of the Transformers history that hasn’t been fully explored before! Oh and a bunch of new cool toys!
One of the more impressive aspects of this game is that Hasbro has seen fit to not only approve the license, but also support the release of the game by producing toys based on the original game designs! As such, not only will you be able to play with Bumblebee in the game, you can then pause the game, transform the toy and then play with him on you desk too… It’s good to be a transformers fan! This game-play trailer is for the big systems (X-Box 360, PS3, PC) but the game is also coming out on the Nintendo DS in a cut down version which will feature some exclusive playable characters such as Jetfire and Grimlock! The game will take advantage of the different kinds of Transformers by allowing multiple paths to the goal, a “guns blazing” path, a sneak path and a challenge for flying characters.

The Gameplay looks frenetic and exciting, while maintaining the Transformers style. The developers have said that they didn’t want to make the best Transformers game ever… They wanted to make a game that was a Transformers Game, and not the abominations we’ve been given thus far. I want!
I also want to see a detail version of the game play and all the options you get. The video looks awesome, but what can we see how the game is played? Is it going to be just another bash up the other robots fest, or are we getting to get something more deep and interesting + the bash.
Heres hoping!
