Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief – Movie Trailer

Percy Jackson is not a dude i am familiar with in any way, yet i can’t help but feel sorry for him. To begin with, he has a crappy name: Percy. It is synonymous with the male organ… the penis. Unfortunate. And apparently he has had his lightning stolen. The poor bugger! And to top it all of on the poster he’s standing in a bunch of water and is about to be soaked…clearly! Overal he’s having a bad day.  Though it all seems much less unpleasant when you realize that Percy is, in fact, the son of the god Poseidon.

Based on the first book in the best selling series, Percy Jackson looks to be another attempt to get lighting to strike twice (Pun intended) and give Fox a tentpole film sereis aimed at the young adults and families alike, in the same vein as the Harry Potter franchise. In fact this first film is directed by Chris Columbus, Director of the first two Potter movies! It looks to be good clean family fun, with harpies and Demigods faffing all over the place, and as such, i’ll probably give it a good looksee when it comes out on Februay 11th here in Australia and February 12th elsewhere.

    that was cool, it looks like it will be a fun movie to watch, when he was given the pen i was thinking pen is mightier then the sword, then lol, it turned to a sword, no seriously, it looks like it could be a good movie, as long as its not one of those trailors that has all its good bits in the trailor. lol

    this moive took an amazing book and MESSED it up. i suggest any fan of the books to NOT watch this movie. i left the theator MAD. they didn’t even follow the story line!! it was very fast paced. no character development, dosn’t explane what it should. really it took something that was Amazing, and screwed it up.
