(COOL) SHITE ALIVE IN THE STREETS!

Launceston’s Streets Alive Youth Arts Festival will feature podcasts this year and Joffre Street Productions, the team behind (Cool) Shite on the Tube, will be providing the audio production services to make it happen!

Up-and-coming youth media artists will have a chance to meet the founders of Joffre Street Productions, Bruce Moyle and Chris Rattray, in a podcasting Master Class on Saturday, April 1.  Bruce and Chris will deliver show format and technical advice for tomorrow’s next-gen media students and artists.  “Podcasting is relatively easy to learn and provides a forum for anyone with anything to say to get their voice out there… literally!” stated Chris Rattray, “It’s great that Streets Alive has recognised the importance of podcasting and its place in today’s rapidly changing media landscape.”

But that’s not all!  On Friday, April 7, Streets Alive will conduct Raising the Lid, a forum to discuss drug and alcohol issues in Launceston.  Joffre Street Productions will be instrumental in the recording and production of a special podcast of this forum for delivery via the Streets Alive website.  Featuring former Triple J presenter, Phil Dillon, and comedian, Greg Fleet, this forum is set to make a lasting impact on all who attend.  And for those who won’t be able to make it, they’ll be able to download it later!

Streets Alive runs from March 31 – April 10 in various locations all over Launceston.  For more information on Streets Alive, please visit www.streetsalive.com.au.
