Brilliant review, loved it, but oh my god, how filthy did you guys make Who sound!!! Amy’s massive crack, the Doctor rummaging around in said massive crack and Rory’s death in very same crack…. Slice of fried gold!
As everyone was before the series started I for my own shame thought that this guy was just too young. After seeing the 1st ep though, my opinion changed completely, Matt Smith was made to be The Doctor! He has moments where he is as off the wall nuts as Baker, naive as Davidson, can be a miserable bastard like Hartnel but still has the “God, this is all Brilliant” that Tennant did so well.
For me, the ‘Girl in the Fireplace’ episode of this season is ‘Vincent and the Doctor’. Emotional without it having to beat you to death with it like most other shows, sad, but you always knew it had to end that way…
Anyway, keeping it short, loved the show, good to hear Chris again (I remember the birth of the Tardis groan). Keep it up lads (and lass). Later bitches.

Well I have to say this is my first doctor and he kicks ass. Had never really got into Dr Who before and the only reason I decided to watch this one is because a guy on another podcast said the girl was a bit hot. Total understatement as she is totally hot, a redhead which is a double bonus.
Having said that i have to admit i really enjoyed this season. I agree some shows were better than others but what series of any genre doesn’t have good and bad episodes. I loved matt smith in the role of the Doctor, he brought a certain charm and quirkiness to the role which i found charming and fun. someone on twitter suggested i go back and watch Eccleston but based on what you guys have said in this show i think I will be very happy to leave my memory untarnished of another Doctor.
Thanks for all your insight to a new Dr Who fan and I was surprised Chris knew that much about anything outside porn.. who would have thought it.

Incidentally, in the latest DWM, Moffat concedes the whole Season 31 versus Season 1 thing was some bullshit he made up. Read his editorial
