Ok, couple of things (am massive Henson geek so sorry if I sound like a pretentious dick.)
Rizzo first appeared on Season 4 of the Muppet Show, the Christopher Reeve episode. He was then in The Great Muppet Caper, which actually came immediately after the first Muppet Movie, (not Muppets Take Manhattan.)
One note on the ‘adult’ injokes that sometimes appeared, the original concept for the Muppet Show was a lot more adult, and the pilot was actually titled ‘Sex and Violence’ :)
I LOVED the cast, but am sad the two most famous songs weren’t mentioned (though I can understand wanting to check out some of the lesser known stuff.) Rainbow Connection and It Ain’t Easy Being Green. One of my personal favourite moments on the Muppet Show is Kermit and Debbie Harry singing Rainbow Connection. The Debbie Harry episode in general was ace.

Favourite soundtrack show so far lads, loving it! Oh, and Bruce should be Moyle Muppet not Bruce Muppet :D

    Love BBB

Yet another example of me loving something but not obsessing about it to know all the facts. We missed your favs because we didn’t want to use the usual songs for the most part. That is something you will hear a lot on the Soundtrack Podcast. I generally attempt to use tracks that are not as common or famous.

non such thing as obsessing too much over muppets. they is DA BOMB.

if it had ben entirely in my hands, yeah it probably would have run an hour long and had all the famous songs… but as Bruce says sometimes its good to play something less well known.

sex and violence hey? sounds fun! not Sax and violence like the song? lol. “second pilot” i believe it is referred to as.

in all honesty i could do a show on each series… but i reckon folks might get a bit sick of muppets after a while…

I think it’s a great idea to look at lesser known stuff with these, is really eye opening.
And yes, I obsess far too much over the Muppets :)

  3. To the Artist out there thinking of taking up the Challenge. I think drawing Bruce either as a Doozer or tied to one of the Doozers Dozzers in classic “protest” fashion .

Really liked this episode I only have the muppet show theme on my ipod and it was good to listen to some other muppet songs.

The Muppet’s Christmas Carol is the version of the story which I really like watching.

I think that we all should stand behind the Dozzers. Greeno has stepped up to the plate with http://www.fragglesarecunts.com

    Brilliant!

  5. We just want to live in peace with our Doozer friends : http://fragglesarentcunts.com

  6. David Quinn Q-Dog says:

i must support the fraggles i am sorry, fraggles are a natural part of the sybiotic relationship between the two races. its lovely and beautiful and natural. much like anal sex.

  7. Fraggles are the Muppet Lotophagi while Doozers represent the proletariat with no opportunity for embourgeoisement.
