Thank you for reviewing the film. I will say more once I actually finish the review however I will mention that the nudity scene you mentioned is related to a subplot that is more brought up in the book but does get slight reference to in the film
Sorry listened to the end. Another subplot that got cutout is that the older helper comes back after his death and also in the film the actress who played Eli had her voice redubbed in the swedish version because she sounded to female
Loved the review as always… interesting to hear someone going back to the older idea’s behind Vampires and i think its interesting to note when you were talking about them being uber sexual and such that originally Vampires were completely uninterested in sex, because, well they were dead. but yeah, loved the review kept work interesting, will see you at Supanova
You know, its interesting as an “outsider” being involved with these podcasts. It gave me a very interesting insight into what goes into getting these things done and how deeply talented the guys are.
Not wanting to spoil any illusions here, but the 3 podcasts that i sat in on were all done in an afternoon, there was no set agenda, no pre-prepared info, not even a clock to see how long we were ranting on for.
But they guys consistantly put out several hours of content every week, consistantly entertaining and consistantly high quality.
There is a LOT of stuff that we talked about, both before and after we recorded, which i look back on and wished that we had talked about in the shows, but as Bruce pointed out, if you aim to get everything in and to never make a mistake, you’ll spend your life striving for that perfection and never actually get anything done.
From my view, we had a blast doing the shows, I hope that they were as enjoyable as the regular shows and that the listeners enjoyed hearing me say “yeah, ahuh” way too much. I know that i was very nervous in front of the mic and listening back to it, i hear every um and err and cough that i made and wish that i had been a bit more “professional”. But all in all i was happy with the shows and appreciate the comments that i have gotten from you guys.
As for the fearless crew of the good ship Coolshite. I must again thank them for their graciousness, their hospitality, their generosity and mostly their friendship. Seeing all the work that they have done, and continue to do, to keep the shite flowing and to evolve the show and site through good times and bad has made me very proud that i could contribute in the very small way that i have.
By far,
my favorite movie of the year.
