Not a big fan of the reviewer (I *might* be biased….) but Snyder definitely had things to say that make me even more interested in seeing the film. And he gets bonus points for the nod to Terry Gilliam.
Dan is a great guy and the man who gave me the chance to go to the whole event so i am incredibly thankful to him for the opportunity. and why oh why are you biased wendy? Do you think i’m sexy?
Zack is a very interesting guy and i was most disappointed that i had to run away before this interview got shot, just because he would have been great to chat to! and Yeah the Gilliam reference was good to know. Especially as Gilliam was going to do watchmen at one point. (Kinda glad that he didn’t otherwise it would never have been finished)
Zack was the perfect director for this film, his strengths are stylized action sequences and tone. We should all look forward to the dvd release with the Black Freighter and Under the Hood excerpts included. The layered irony and symbolism of the novel will be better understood, as will the overall pace of the story.
Lets see if Zack Snyder can grow as a film maker. Hear he wrote his next project. I look forward to seeing it. If not, hows about a Hitchcock remake…North by Northwest perhaps?…
