79 megs for 1 hour 27 minutes? Bloody hell, that’s large for a podcast! Its great there’s another podcast to listen to but the dramatic change in file size is steep compare to the others.

I’m listening to the show at this moment…it’s only five minutes into it and the song that is playing peaks my interest. It is worth it being stereo, so I don’t mind. Will this lead into a whole bunch of musical reviews in full stereo sound?

  3. Mike the Big, Giant Head Mike the Big, Giant Head says:

I know one…Interstella 5555. It is a glorified music video that lasts for 65 minutes, and not really a musical, but its a good one. It is the whole of Daft Punk’s Discovery album played out to a Leiji Matsumoto anime. If you look for the music video of Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger its a segment from the film.

  4. David Quinn Q-Dog says:

yeah interstellar 5555 is a good example, though its so much a music video it’s barely a film. may be worth discussing at some point. i know bruce is big into anime and the design style is awesome from that perspective.

but as far as musical reviews, if the music really warrants it then stereo would be the way to go. For something like rocky horror i’m not even sure that’s worth it in stereo! (OLD MIX)

i’m sure with some digging we could find something awesome though.

maybe even the Alice in wonderland musical porn…. hmmm

  5. Mike the Big, Giant Head Mike the Big, Giant Head says:

Yeah, I’ve heard about that…even heard a review of it on an exploitation film podcast (or I think I did…there was no mention of musical numbers). I would be worried about Sookie Monster though, having to review porn as the sole female (and rational) voice of the show.

There are two further options: either you’re going to have to review another Bollywood film, or its time for (Cool) Shite to jump the shark and have a musical episode where you sing the review. A musical interpretation of Crank 2 would be incredibly wrong in every way but f**king hilarious.

    • David Quinn Q-Dog says:

BACK THIS TRAIN THE FUCK UP!!!!!

sooki monster is the rational one?!!!! WTF!!!!!

ok thats it man…. you are dead to me.

      its that simple.

      lol.

we’ve been thinking of a musical episode for ages… it might take a lot of work, but hell it would be awesome.
      hmmm.

given enough time to prepare we could do it for sure…

Knew I’d heard of Anthony Stewart Head before . . . he played Freddy Trumper in Chess, as did his brother Murray. And with Brightman in there as well, even the PHilton couldn’t keep me away. Though you guys certainly didn’t seem put off by her performance, so all the better. And I’m at a loss. I usually prefer when you tear into particularly shite flicks, but this run of pure coolness has been just as entertaining . . . fewer hosts make it easier to analyze, perhaps? As for musicals, I really wish the aforementioned Chess could make it to the big screen. It’d have new relevance, considering recent political developments. eh, it’s a dream, anyhoo
