   ‘Quantum of Solace’ comes from a short story by Ian Fleming which featured in the same collection of stories as ‘For Your Eyes Only’. The story actually has nothing to do with James Bond (he’s in it briefly near the beginning and end) but is about the tragic life of a British civil servant.
