Another exhausting podcast! I will finish watching Steamboy at one point!
Some bits had me laughing hysterically, you can guess which… It all just falls apart at the end!!
Getting the IMPS film, I hope you’ve all seen the Pink 5 shorts?

  2. avatar Henrik says:

I almost fell asleep watching IMPS, and when I finally started getting a smile on my face… it ended! I’ll give the second chapter a shot but this wasn’t nearly as fun as Pink 5.

  3. avatar Bruce says:

I haven’t heard of Pink 5. I will have a look for it. IMPS does take a bit to get into, as I said the opening is way to long. I am looking forward to seeing where they go with episode 2.

Exhausting?!? where we that bad this time… I know Chris was.. hell I still have a hangover and it has been 2 days.

  4. avatar Chris says:

I think I caught your hangover from you Bruce. I feel wasted. But then again, maybe I shouldn’t have stayed up all night thinking about the two best bits of Starship Troopers.

Damn you Paul Verhoeven and your titerrific casting decisions!

  5. avatar RDON says:

Jost had a look at this Pink 5 stuff, looks good http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/af/content/pink5

    Running commentary.

Rattray… your libido, when attached to your vocal process, was *built* for staplegunning.

Rattray knows how much I dislike Starship Troopers, and I won’t bore the rest of you.

Although, I must say… I’m surprised that *none* of you had issues with it.

Michael Ironside’s best role is the voicing in Splinter Cell… especially when you finish the game and get to see all the ‘special features’ — he’s a scream… in a death-rattle kinda way.

On that note, did Bruce Campbell voice SWAT3?

    Kobe-Beef promo rocks!

TROOPS fucking rocked… I’m sure Ratty has seen it… I don’t know why he was playing dumb… Downloading it with sweet, sweet DSL. It’s great to not be at home, sometimes.

So Bruce yells at the motorbike… Ratty yells at the phone, but not before saying, “Before this gets out of control…” — it’s like he has no idea of what he’s said…. ain’t he a sweet thing, girls?

    Way to penetrate the market…

It’s no secret why Rattray stares at Q like that — it’s the real reason he doesn’t have a girlfriend.

    More later…

  7. avatar Chris says:

Dang! You got me! Yes, I’ve seen TROOPS – sometimes I act as Devil’s Advocate for our loving disciples, in case they haven’t seen the shit we talk about. And I like putting Q-Dog on the spot, because Q-Dog loves the cock.

I frequently have no idea what’s come out of my mouth until it’s hanging in the air like a giant invisible poo.

  9. avatar Sean says:

Last Exile is a pretty decent Steampunk anime. Not sure if that is on your list.

  10. avatar Bruce says:

Yes, you are correct there Sean and it will be promotly added to the list.

  11. avatar Chris says:

We watched some of that didn’t we? I enjoyed what we saw of it.

Xabian – that flash game was more fun when I imagined it was you and I was throwing a fitness ball at your head.

  12. avatar Tom says:

… casper van dien….. what’s not to like about that guy, I realised I hadn’t seen him in anything since starship troopers, then I saw an article in a newspaper supplement about him about 3 weeks ago, He’s married to the princess of monaco…. who knew?? ….. also apparantly they’ve nearly broken up several times due to caspers addiction to hookers….. awesome….

oh and there was wicked picture of him holding his kids…. looking totally wacked off his tits…. eyes almost rolling back in his head and everything

    genius

  13. avatar Chris says:

Dude, you must find that article, scan it, and send it to me. Please.

    That is GOLD.

  14. avatar Jaitu says:

Very funny podcast, Guys. Keep it lose, it works for you.
I.M.P.S was okay. Not as snappy as TROOPS. I agree that the intro was waaay long. I had trouble making out some of the dialogue too. The production value on it is pretty high so I hope it’ll get better.

Starship Troopers rocks! There’s a great bit in the directors commentary when Paul Verhoevan dismisses the dialogue in the classroom scene as some lightweight backstory stuff and the screenwriter corrects him by explaining that it represents the entire thrust of the film. Good thing the director knew that.

Chris should look out for ‘The Denise Richards Tit Wank Workout’ and it’s companion piece ‘Top-Bollock TaeBo’

  15. avatar Chris says:

Yeah, definately funnier when we’ve been on the sauce or not actually talking about the film at all. I’m listening to our first cast right now… and it’s yawnsome!

I’ll keep my one-eyed trouser snake out for “The Denise Richards Tit Wank Workout” and itۉ€ž¢s companion piece “Top-Bollock TaeBo”. They sound, uh, expanding. For the mind.

    Yeah.
