ABC bringing back ‘Better off Ted’
‘Surviving Suburbia’ can’t survive new time slot
ABC is bringing back “Better off Ted” for a summer run, while “Surviving Suburbia” couldn’t survive its new time slot. Six remaining episodes of “Ted” left will now air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. starting June 23. Then returns in midseason, where it will be paired with “Scrubs.” Alphabet ordered 13 more episodes for next season.

Producer: What to expect from Chuck’s new season
“I’d just like to say, and this is more like a general thing, that we’re just so thankful to our fans for all the support that they’ve shown. It has been … it was incredibly important to the show, to the show’s return, their energy and excitement. And the other thing, too, is that critics and journalists have been just so helpful and supportive for the show. It just seems like we needed every arrow in our quiver, and you guys were there for us.”

Chuck star Zachary Levi reveals a few season-three hints
“I want Chuck to kick some more ass, shoot some more guns,” he said. “I’ve been sitting on the sidelines for two years watching Adam and Yvonne have all of the fun. Literally all I ever wanted to do since I was a kid was be in war movies. … You run around in the backyard and go, ‘Bang, you’re dead!’ And throwing dirt clods as hand grenades. So to really get to participate in the action more, as opposed to just running away or falling off a building or whatever, would be really awesome.”

‘Doctor Who’ returns to BBC America

Tennant’s final episodes to begin this summer
The net has acquired the five “Doctor Who” specials that will finish showrunner Russell T. Davies’ run on the venerable Brit sci-fi franchise that starred David Tennant as the Doctor. “The Next Doctor,” the series’ Christmas special, will air at 9 p.m. June 27, and the next spec (“Planet of the Dead”) is set for July.

Is Ronald D. Moore’s Virtuality Going to Series After All?

“We got the word that a show we thought was dead is now on the fast track. It’s Ron Moore’s Virtuality. It just goes to show you how this business goes. It was dead, dead, dead… now it’s alive, alive, alive… and they want it now, now, now! So on top of the BSG direct to DVD movie, and Caprica, we are racing to finish a few additional shots for Virtuality’s July airing.”

Freddie Prinze Jr. joins ‘24′
Actor to play agent in Fox drama
Prinze is joining the cast of Fox’s “24″ as a regular, playing Davis Cole, a recently returned Marine who runs CTU Field Ops and wants to follow in Jack Bauer’s (Kiefer Sutherland) footsteps.

Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on ‘Dollhouse,’ ‘Bones’
Summer Glau could join ‘Dollhouse,’ and Bones won’t rule out Angela
Joss confirms to me exclusively that, well, he’s one step ahead of you. “If anybody thinks (bringing Summer onto ‘Dollhouse’) hasn’t occurred to me already then they have not met me,” he says.

TBS preps ‘Very Funny Show’
Tim Meadows to host latenight comedy series
BS is set to launch nonscripted latenight series “The Very Funny Show.” Hosted by Tim Meadows, 10-episode half-hour series will feature standup performances at Zanies Comedy Club in Chicago during the TBS Just for Laughs fest.
