Popular Movie Podcast Nominated For Award… Again!

Yes, the lads and wenches of the USS Shite are celebrating tonight with the announcement that their popular podcast “(Cool) Shite on the Tube” has, for the second year running, been nominated in “Movies/Film” category at http://www.podcastawards.com!

“The prestige of being nominated twice in a row is wearing thin, quite frankly,” ejaculated Chris, “I mean, sure it’s an honour to be nominated blah, blah, blah, but we better not get beaten by some stupid sci-fi podcast again this year. Since when was a podcast dedicated to ONE SHOW or SERIES OF FILMS considered, in any way, comprehensive enough to take the title of Movies/Film? It was an outrage last year and it had better not happen this year.”

Mr. Rattray then went on to swill down a giant bottle of grog as several wenches begged him to make them pregnant with his seed.

“Yes, it’s sour grapes, but when you put in as much time as us, with research and the amount of vocal training we’ve undergone, you expect something back from the interwebz,” said Mr. Moyle, with remarkable clarity and insight.

“I concur!” said Dion, a recent addition.

“Knickers!” exclaimed R-Don, with his trademark wit and biting rhetoric.

“I will personally give every person who votes for us a nice big wet smack… on the cheek!” said TripleB. When asked to elaborate on WHICH cheek she replied with the immortal line, “Don’t ask me, I’m just a girl!”

As the party kicked on, several admirers demonstrated their dedication to their favourite podcast by performing advanced neurosurgery on themselves, attaching iPods directly to their brain stems. Onlookers were urged to do the same.

“We will be happy to be nominated a third time, but this time around kids, vote like your life depended on it and let’s show the podcast community just who is King Shite in the Movies/Film category!” said Q-Dog, as he fought off many lubricated wenches, in a surprising turn.

“After all, your vote guarantees citizenship! And citizenship.. is… no. Wait. That’s Starship Troopers,” said Chris, doing a poor imitation of David Tennant’s “Lion King” speech in Doctor Who: The Christmas Invasion.

About The Author

Chris Rattray

Chris recently finished Dragon Age: Origins. This means he now has more time for Warhawk. When he's not plugged in, he might be writing something. When he's not writing something, he's invariably being a Dad to his son, Logan, a recent addition to the household that doesn't fit in a PS3. In previous lives, Chris has been an actor, writer (X-Press, ZebraHype, Enterprise, Sauce), editor (Sauce), web monkey (AlphaWest, Eruptor Entertainment), community manager (Top Cow Productions), teacher, musician, myth, legend, and co-founder of Joffre Street Productions and Cool Shite. He has a book out, Far Beyond the Sun, and he'd very much like you to purchase a copy. They don't read themselves, you know.
