Cloud Atlas – Movie Trailer

Cloud Atlas-poster-xlarge

It is a rare thing that a trailer can move you, shock you and genuinely surprise you in its all too short running time. In the Case of Cloud Atlas, this 5 minute long extended trailer will do just that. The Wachowskis have returned to cinema on an epic scale and look to be really expanding their style to encompass numerous worlds and visions. Working with the director of Run Lola Run, they have created a film (based on the 2004 novel) set in multiple times featuring multiple versions of the same characters living multiple variations of their lives. I don’t pretend to know what it means or what it will be like, but this trailer has reawakened my love of epic cinema. It is unashamedly huge, decadent and beautiful and i love what i’ve seen so far. Take the time, watch it, its truly amazing. Now let’s hope the film can live up to the potential of this small snippet!

“Cloud Atlas” explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.
