Robocop – Viral Marketing Video

The Original Robocop was a prime example of the excesses of 80′s movie making; hyper violent, super cheesy and completely awesome. The story of Officer Murphy and his return from the grave as a cybernetic man was just the right balance of ridiculous and hardcore and was successful enough to spawn a legion of spin-offs, from video games and Comics, to kids cartoons and happy meals.  Not bad for an R Rated film! 2013 brings us the remake directed by Jose Padilha and starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish and Hugh Laurie (!?)

This video is the first salvo inthe viral marketing capaign which is slowly introducing us to the world of this new Robocop. Gone is OCP, now replaced with Omnicorp, and the ED-209 is not alone.  I am excited by the new look and design and i am also surprised how quickly they have shown us the iconic ED-209! Check it out folks!

In a crime-ridden city, a fatally wounded cop returns to the force as a powerful cyborg with submerged memories haunting him.
