Warren Lich – Concept Movie Trailer

We love us a fan film, we really do. They sem to be capable of so much more creativity and expressive freedom than most hollywood blockbusters and they tend to be the singular expression of one person’s vision: undiluted and unwavering. Sometimes that vision is a bit crap, but it is always driven from a desire only to create something “Cool” without the pressure of marketing, focus groups or demographics. In some cases the special effects may not be entirely stellar, but the ideas behind them are the driving force, but occasionally we run across something really really special.

Writer/Director Shaun Rana has put together a 4 minute pitch trailer for a feature film he’s working on and it looks pretty damn impressive. It’s post humanistic , semi-steampunk style ties into a story of rebellion, corporate greed and bounty hunters who have robot arms…. Or at least that’s what I got out of it all. he has a bunch of other films in various stages of development, one of which “Days of Victory” is a cool sounding post apocalyptic war story set after the next TWO world wars, which are fought between the Muslims and the Christians. This guy may be one to watch!
