Eurocrime! – Movie Trailer

A film that appears to be in the vein of the recent Not Quite Hollywood film, we have a trailer for Eurocrime! The Italian Cop and Gangster Films that Ruled the 70’s, which is a documentary directed by Mike Malloy. It covers a genre of film that I’m only vaguely familiar with (poliziotteschi), though I have liked the films I’ve seen within the genre. The film looks to be finished, but is in the process of raising money to secure the rights to the film clips used within the interviews. They’ve got a page set up here where you can see what your donation will get you, anywhere from music downloads, to signed merchandise, to actual Executive producer credits if you’re feeling extraordinarily generous! The film features interviews with a who’s who of the genre, including John Saxon, Franco Nero and Henry freaking Silva, just to name a few of the actors involved. This looks awesome and I can’t wait for a proper release shedding some light on these little-seen films.
