Don’t Look Up – Movie Trailer
Today I’d like to share the trailer for Don’t Look Up with you. According to my interweb diggings, the film is a re-make of an early effort from Hideo Nakata (who gets a story credit) and directed by Fruit Chan, two guys who know a good amount about putting some creepy shit on a movie screen.
The original film pre-dates Nakata’s most famous effort, and the storyline here gives hints of the director’s later interest in technology mixing with the supernatural, a concept that Rungu would take the world by storm with a few years later. The film tells the story of a film crew working on a set where evil is unleashed from the very film stock that they’re using, unleashing ghosts to torment the living. This looks fairly disturbing (if a little lo-tech at times) and promises some truly stomach churning imagery if this trailer is any indication. I loved Chan’s previous film Dumplings, and Nakata is usually good for a scare or two, so I’ll be keeping an eye out for this.
