Inglourious Basterds – Trailer

Inglourious Basterds

Finally a trailer has dropped for Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. (yes that is how it is spelt). The first thing I must say is that this trailer looks sweet and makes me believe that Tarantino might actually come back to form. It may help that this is a initially remake of a Spanish film (Quel maledetto treno blindato) which he has expanded upon.

Plot Outline from IMDB

In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as “The Basterds” are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.

Brad Pitt with a tash-of-power is a force to rivaled with. I for one am now looking forward to this film. Lets hope it isn’t another Tarantino talkfest but more Natural Born Kills/Pulp Fiction old-school film making.

Awesome! Cannot wait for this movie, loved all of Tarantino’s other films, except Death Proof, and this looks to be a return to form (hopefully). Pitt’s normally value for money, Tarantino does OTT violence really well, and with five chapters all interlocking there should hopefully be enough going on to stop the dialogue vanishing up it’s own arse like Death Proof’s did.

  2. “more Natural Born Kills/Pulp Fiction old-school film making.” Let’s not dump NBK in with Pulp fiction, there. One is a great movie with lots of fun vigniettes and a rollicking good time with fine direction.

The other one is Natural Born Killers.

Trust me (and I know) NBK after Stone got done with it bears little resemblance to the original Avary/Tarantino script.

That being said, I can not wait for Inglorious Basterds. I think it’s going to be a rip-snorter!

I hated Natural Born Killers except for Robert Downey Jr and his awfull australian accent!!!
